HERICIUM ERINACEUS (Lion`s Mane): A MEDICINAL MUSHROOM AND A GUN FOR BRAIN REJUVENATION, PREVENT AND REVERT THE ALZHEIMER AND THE PROBLEMS OF MEMORY.

Created on 15.10.2020

Today I want to tell you about a very interesting cultivated mushroom, this mushroom has a strange appearance of a white sponge or pompom and receives the nickname Lion's mane. Well, this kind of white sponge is a fungus called Hericium erinaceus and has amazing medicinal properties.

In Japan, the Lion's Mane is popularly known as Yamabushitake, a word composed of Yamabushi and Take. The first one means The one who sleeps on the mountain, in reference to Shushendo's hermit monks, while Take means mushroom. In China it is also known as Shishigashira (lion's head) and Houtou (monkey cub).

Its carpophore is peculiar: it is identified with a white pompom formed by a infinity of small filaments. It has no cap, gills or stem differentiated, but the most surprising thing about this species is what you don`t see.

The sum of beta-glucans, hericinones and erinacins make Lion's Mane a food that can act on digestive problems and memory loss due to its ability to regenerate mucous membranes and connective tissue.

How outstanding nutrients of Lion's Mane can we find:

  • Polysaccharides (FI-1a and FIII-2b)
  • Erinacinas (I, E and H)
  • Hericenonas (A, B, C, D and E)
  • Essential amino acids (Ergothioneine)
  • Minerals (K, Zn, Fe, Se and P)

In traditional Chinese medicine this species of mushrooms has been used for centuries for its regulatory effect on the human body and the psyche.

The Hericium erinaceus species is found throughout the northern hemisphere, usually bearing fruit on dead and dying planifolia trees, especially in North America, Europe and Asia. It is one of the few species that can be grown in walnut wood, which is slowly colonizing over the years.

The cultivation of HERICIUM ERINACEUS began in Asia, especially in China in the Shanghai area.

Currently the Lion's Mane is cultivated in different countries, especially on sterilized substrates. Several customers of MUSHROOMS SOLUTIONS use the autoclavable filter bags of UNICORN bags- of which we are official distributors- for the cultivation of this mushroom, which has so many nutritional and medicinal properties.

Today, the Lion`s mane mushroom is appreciated as a delicious staple food throughout Asia. It is often used as an alternative to seafood and meat because, when consumed fresh, it has the same smooth texture and mild flavour as prawns or lobster.

And like other powerful medicinal mushrooms, it has been used for hundreds of years in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine, which has harnessed its healing powers to treat everything from stomach ulcers to cancer.

Hericium erinaceus in addition to being delicious, has numerous health benefits, its benefits for digestive health and central nervous system have been scientifically proven in numerous scientific articles.

Lion's mane has a high fiber content, so it is considered a natural prebiotic that helps recover the microbiota. There are scientific studies on its action against digestive problems (inflammation, reflux, regularity, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, in case of infection with Helicobacter pylori etc.), permeable instestine syndrome, allergies and food intolerances. Its regenerative activity also supports its use in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, memory loss and dementia.

In this post I want to focus on its regenerative action on neurodegenerative diseases and how it becomes a weapon to prevent and reverse Alzheimer's disease, memory loss and dementia.

You may be surprised to learn that this cultivated mushroom has a brain stimulating power that could save your memory. And new research shows that it has the power to literally resurrect dead brain cells in just 48 hours.

But your doctor will probably never talk to you about this special brain-healing mushroom (or any other medicinal mushroom, in fact).

But don't throw it in your face too much, it's not his fault. After all, he did not do any mushroom course at the medical school.

And the big pharmaceutical companies cannot patent a mushroom and get immense benefits from it, so you won't hear a word about official medicine.

This special mushroom has proven capable of preventing and treating neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's and dementia.

This brain reinforcement based on Hericium erinaceus, has been included in the protocol for the cerebral rejuvenation of some integrative doctors such as Dr. GLENN S. ROTHFELD who directs the renowned Center for Integrative Medicine in Waltham, Massachusetts (United States), and travels around the planet always looking for the most effective advances in natural medicine. His innovative research in the field of neurological diseases has opened new and hopeful ways for those who fight day-to-day against Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.

But this powerful remedy was completely unknown outside Asia until a renowned scientist named Dr. Hirokazu Kawagishi made a shocking discovery: The Lion's mane mushroom can RESTORE the brain.

Dr. Kawagishi discovered that this mushroom has a unique molecular structure. It is composed of small molecules called hericenones. And these small molecules can resurrect the dead brain cells, restoring their aged brain and giving you back the young and healthy brain of yesteryear.

In fact, according to Dr. Kawagishi, the lion's mane mushroom is the ONLY substance on earth capable of reactivating damaged or dead brain cells.

This means that you can finally reverse memory loss and replace” the old memories that were lost.

And other scientists are finally recognizing it.

Recently, researchers have discovered that lion's mane mushroom is even a potential remedy against the threat to the brain that Alzheimer's disease poses.

H. erinaceus has the natural ability to give your brain an extraordinary boost and make it give its maximum.

It is this power to revolutionize the brain that makes the lion's mane mushrooms considered a nootropic. Nootropics, also known as smart drugs, are compounds that IMPROVE brain function and mental perception, without harmful side effects.

What makes this special mushroom a brain booster?

As I said, it contains hericenones - in fact, it is the ONLY type of fungus that has these powerful brain enhancers. And there is more and more research that shows why they are so beneficial to the brain.

In laboratory studies on cultured brain cells, Dr. Kawagishi and his team discovered that hericenones activate a protein in our bodies called Neurological Growth Factor (NGF).

NGF facilitates communication between the brain and nerve cells and promotes healthy neurological function throughout life. In fact, it plays an important role in the protection, repair, regeneration and RESTORATION of brain cells against the damage caused by aging and the environmental threats it faces every day.

NGF is so important for brain health that when Japanese researchers deprived laboratory mice of the protein, they went into cognitive decline, and it was so severe that it actually induced the development of dementia.

You see, the brain has an integrated protective lining composed of very compact endothelial cells: the HEMATOENCEPHALIC BARRIER.

Although thin, this strength is powerful: it allows the entry of essential nutrients, while preventing toxins, bacteria and other foreign substances in the blood from reaching your delicate brain.

However, the NGF molecules are too large to pass through the blood brain barrier. And previous attempts to administer it orally or by injection have never been successful.

So scientists needed to find something that not only promoted the production of NGF in the brain and the neurological system, but was also small enough to pass through the blood-brain barrier and rescue the neurons in difficulty.

The lion's mane mushroom and its powerful hericenonas was the solution they were looking for.

In that same study, the researchers induced dementia in laboratory mice by stimulating the production of beta-amyloid.

They then gave these mice a powdered extract of lion's mane that contained several different hericenones. And the results were amazing.

The study showed that the hericenones present in the lion's mane COULD pass through the blood-brain barrier ..., stimulating 60% more growth of brain cells in 48 hours, ... restoring memory and helping to prevent brain damage that leads to Alzheimer's disease in humans.

To help you understand how remarkable these results really are, I will tell you that brain cells were reactivated, resurrected from the dead ... and completely revived. And this happened in just two days. In 48 hours.

This new discovery could be the key to stop memory loss and reverse Alzheimer's.

As soon as he saw these incredible results, Dr. Kawagishi began testing the lion's mane mushroom in people with memory loss.

In an unprecedented study, Dr. Kawagishi and his team examined the effects of this fungus on 100 elderly residents of a Japanese rehabilitation hospital. All participants had neurodegenerative disorders, including some suffered from dementia.

The researchers divided the group into two, with 50 people in the experimental group and 50 in the control group.

Before the study, all participants showed significant cognitive and memory problems and had difficulty walking, eating, dressing, showering and performing other basic tasks.

For six months, all participants took a daily bowl of soup containing a special ingredient: 5 grams of dried lion's mane for the experimental group and a placebo for the control group.

At the end of the study, all patients were evaluated once again ... and the results were surprising.

After only six months of taking the mushroom, ALL PATIENTS showed a dramatic improvement in all their daily functions.

Their quality of life improved and they were able to drive, cook, clean and be independent.

That is a 100% improvement rate!

And the results were improving over time.

These extraordinary results are not only better than those of the drugs of the big pharmaceutical companies, but they are at a totally different level. Not only did they revive the brain cells of dementia patients, but it is as if they have all gone back to their old selves.

And additional studies showed similar results.

Lion's mane mushroom provides benefits beyond your brain

There are many supplements, herbs and holistic remedies that are making headlines for their ability to fight cancer, reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, etc.

But, could you believe that the lion's mane mushroom could also be the key to treating all these ailments?

You see, recent studies have found that this powerful mushroom can not only have exceptional powers to revitalize the brain, but also can improve overall brain function by making us feel good.

Do you remember the hericenones of which I have spoken? The compounds that improve the NGF found in the lion's mane mushroom have also been shown to help the autonomic nervous system, in what is the fight or flight response ... And that helps reduce feelings of depression, anxiety and irritability.

It is no surprise. After all, Buddhist monks used lion's mane to stay focused during meditation.

I know what you are thinking. With extraordinary results like these, why have you never heard of the lion's mane? This Mushroom Shouldn't it be front page news?

Well, because it is precisely a mushroom, it is completely natural and cannot be patented.

And that means that the big pharmaceutical companies cannot turn it into a medicine and get great benefits from it.

So, instead, they will continue to generate a failed medication after another -400 non-approved medications at the last count, and add and follow - because they are too greedy to admit they are wrong.
